祖古烏金仁波切:如何計畫從早到晚的修行?

Student: How do we structure our practice from morning to evening if we have to work?


學生:如果我們必須工作,要如何計畫我們從早到晚的修行功課呢?

Rinpoche: There is one way to structure that I feel very practical. In the morning you begin the sadhana and practise up until the recitation. You recite as much as you feel like at that point. Immediately, without leaving the sadhana behind, go and start doing your daily work. At the end of the day, sit down again and recite the vowels and consonants, repeat the offerings, praises and the purification mantra. After that, bring the sadhana to a conclusion. In this way, your entire day is a part of the sadhana. This is extremely important. One shouldn't think that the practice is only when sitting down at the puja table, but rather view practice as being as often as one can remind oneself. That is what really counts.


仁波切:我認為有個相當務實的方式。早上你起修法本到持咒的部分,在那階段你盡量持誦,想持多少就持多少。接著並非擱置法本不管,而是馬上開始你每天的工作。在一天工作結束之後,再次上座並念誦子母咒、供養文、讚頌文,以及淨障咒(百字明咒)。其後,繼續修持法本直至結束。如此一來,你的整天都屬於修持法本的一部分。這是極為重要的。你不應以為只有當坐在修法桌前,才是在做修行功課,而是要將修行視為盡量常常提醒自己。那才真能算做修行。

Practice is not only the mantra and visualization. It is the recognizing of mind essence. You shouldn't think that recognizing mind essence is limited to sitting down on a meditation seat. It can take place while walking, while talking, while eating, while working and so on. Whether these activities become practice or not depends on whether you remind yourself to recognize mind essence. That is what you should really put effort into, because that is what really counts.


修行不是只有持咒與觀想。它是要認出心的本質。你不應認為,認出心的本質僅限於坐在蒲團上。它可以發生在走路中、講話中、吃飯中、工作中等等。而這些活動是否能成為修行,端看你是否提醒自己要認出心的本質。那才是你實際要著力之處,因為確實有賴於此。

Try as much as you can to recognize the state of rigpa during the daytime, from the time you wake up in the morning, and continuing throughout the day. In between, during free moments, you can recite the mantra. If there is no chance
to do so, if something has to be done, then take care of it. However, while doing it, again and again, remind yourself to recognize, and simply allow the natural state to be sustained repeatedly. This is what is really necessary. I encourage you to practise in this way.

於白天,盡可能試著認出本覺心的狀態,從你早晨醒來,一直持續到整日皆然。當中,空閒時刻你可以持咒。如果沒有機會這麼做,如果必須要做某個事情,那就去處理它。然而,在做事情的當中,一次又一次地,提醒自己去認出來,並且單純地讓那自然狀態保持,不斷重複。這才是必要的。我鼓勵你以這樣的方式來修行。
